A world in which children and young people are equipped and empowered through education to live with dignity, opportunity and hope.
Vision Africa works in strategic, innovative partnerships with community and government stakeholders. We work closely with children and their families to ensure the provision of quality training and education. Our goal is a practical expression of love and compassion that ensures children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds have the opportunity to fulfil their potential and impact their community.
All of our work is guided by the following values:
Integrity: Consistently aiming to create value for money as we pursue excellence and justice whilst constantly listening and learning for improved outcomes.
Empowerment: Creating sustainable opportunities that dignify and nurture independence.
Collaboration: Sharing skills, knowledge, resources, and learning for collective impact.
Compassion: Driven by our Christian faith we believe strongly in helping children and young people of any gender, religion, background, tribe and ability.
Innovation: Proactively and creatively pursuing effective and efficient solutions.
Check out our page on the Sustainable Development Goals to find out how our mission is closely aligned to achieving 8 of the Goals.
Vision Africa is a non-denominational Christian organisation. Our work is a practical expression of God’s compassion and care for his children. However, we never discriminate against children or youths on the basis of their faith or religion and work with children and youths of different faiths across our projects.
Our cost model
We operate a low cost model and keep overheads as low as practically possible, however, as part of our strategy to expand and be even more effective, we are making exciting changes to our UK structure. This has resulted in UK based salary costs for the first time in Vision Africa’s history which we strongly believe are critical to the strategic growth plans we have. We continue to hold very firmly to the position that our chief aim is to improve the lives of children and young people in Africa. Be assured that we utilise donations in the most efficient way possible to ensure maximum impact in our work.
It should be noted that we are not a grant making body and we are not able to support requests for funding from other organisations.
