Celebrating Heroes

As you may have read in recent blog posts, It’s Easy to Make a Difference to a child’s life and Vision Africa is calling for you to Be The Hero In Your Own Story. We want to create as many opportunities for people to have an impact on the lives of disadvantaged children in Kenya…whether it’s holding a fundraising event, helping to raise awareness of our work our doing something practical at one of our projects.

Christmas Greetings from the St. Andrews Baby Unit

Internship at Seed of Hope

Over the last few weeks, Seed of Hope Nairobi has had the pleasure of hosting an intern from Egerton University here in Kenya. Priscilla Muthoni Maina is about to commence her fourth year of studies in “Clothing textiles and interior design” but before that she is spending eight weeks helping to train the Seed of Hope students.

I have just spent six weeks volunteering with Vision Africa, and I have had a very eye opening and fantastic experience. I spent half of my time living and volunteering in Nairobi, and the other half at various Vision Africa projects in more rural areas of Kenya.
