2011 marks the 10th Anniversary of Vision Africa and we are celebrating with a Challenge from the 20th-27th August! We are inviting individuals and corporates to take part in a 77km trek through Kenya’s stunning Maasai Mara Nature Reserve and Great Rift Valley to raise much needed funds which will ensure Vision Africa can continue supporting disadvantaged children in Kenya.
An Update From Our Special Schools

For many people, the thought of a child in Kenya with special needs would summon up images of a poor soul, possibly locked away from society and in extreme cases living a life worthy of an animal. Thanks to two of Vision Africa’s projects, Kirunguru and Percy Davies Schools for Children with Special Needs, those images couldn’t be further from our minds when we go to visit the schools.
On The “Pathway to Decent Work for Women”

This year marks the 100th International Women’s Day on March 8th. The theme for this year is “Equal access to education, training and science and technology: Pathway to decent work for women”. To celebrate the occasion, Seed of Hope has invited several women, including graduates from the program, to talk at their Nairobi centre and inspire the next generation of students as they undergo the training that will help them on the pathway towards either employment or self-employment.
Kibera Education Project Celebrates Success

In November 2010, a group of around forty students from Kibera joined their peers throughout the country and sat their KCPE exams marking the end of their time at primary school. Having studied after school at Kibera Mpira Mtaani’s resource centre with the support of the volunteer teachers, expectations were high for this group and they didn’t disappoint!
