Engineering Brighter Futures For Boys

Seed of Hope has been giving disadvantaged girls dignity, hope and opportunity since 2002. Over the years, the program has evolved and spread throughout Kenya with four centres now in operation and over four hundred graduates in employment or self-employment.

October 2011 sees the start of an exciting new chapter for Seed of Hope as it opens its doors to boys for the first time. This is a very special project as there is a story behind how it came to life.

Celebrating Heroes

We want to create as many opportunities for people to have an impact on the lives of disadvantaged children in Kenya…whether it’s holding a fundraising event, helping to raise awareness of our work our doing something practical at one of our projects.

On The “Pathway to Decent Work for Women”

This year marks the 100th International Women’s Day on March 8th. The theme for this year is “Equal access to education, training and science and technology: Pathway to decent work for women”. To celebrate the occasion, Seed of Hope has invited several women, including graduates from the program, to talk at their Nairobi centre and inspire the next generation of students as they undergo the training that will help them on the pathway towards either employment or self-employment.
