The 20th April 2011 was a special day for thirty young footballers in Kibera. Two coaches from Arsenal Football Club’s community coaching program returned to Kibera to host the Arsenal F.C. Champions League Tournament in the grounds of Toi Primary School in association with Alive & Kicking, Kibera Mpira Mtaani and Vision Africa.

On the 16th February 2011, Arsenal Football Club brought smiles to Kibera thanks to two coaches from their Community Coaching program. “Oggy” Ognjen Soskic and Steve Eadon are in Kenya for four months coaching various groups and took time to visit Kibera Mpira Mtaani during a short stay in Nairobi.

Wednesday 28th April was a good day. Thanks to a chance meeting with one of the directors of Alive and Kicking, we had managed to set up a coaching session with two visiting coaches from Arsenal Football Club’s community coaching program.
