VA Operations Manual: What? How? Why?
Posted on April 15th, 2011 by Kirsty
It’s not often that we manage to get a group of Vision Africa project leaders and representatives gathered together from across the country but when we do it’s usually a very productive time. Last April, we held our first ever strategy day in Nairobi. As a result of those discussions, an operations manual has been compiled and this April we spent a day reviewing sections of the document which will help project leaders and Vision Africa staff as they go about their work.

Report from Riruta

The recruitment of the new students has been helped by some renovations that were carried out at the school over the December holidays. Read the full article »
An Update From Our Special Schools
Posted on March 18th, 2011 by Kirsty
For many people, the thought of a child in Kenya with special needs would summon up images of a poor soul, possibly locked away from society and in extreme cases living a life worthy of an animal. Thanks to two of Vision Africa’s projects, Kirunguru and Percy Davies Schools for Children with Special Needs, those images couldn’t be further from our minds when we go to visit the schools.
Latest from Riandu Children’s Home, Mbeere

Mbeere Children’s Home in Riandu is a project that has a special place in the hearts of Vision Africa’s founders Reverend and Mrs. Packard. On a recent visit to the home, it was delightful to see that this love was shared by all at the home thanks to a new mural which has been painted next to the main entrance for all to see. Within a very short time, it was also clear to see that the home is doing well and that the administrator Henry is working very hard to ensure the children are well cared for.
